FAQ
›How often will I be reminded about overdue tasks?
Progressively less often:
- First 24 hours: every 4 hours
- 1-3 days: every 12 hours
- 3-7 days: once daily
- Over a week: every 2 days
›Why doesn't priority affect reminder frequency?
Reminder frequency is purely deadline-based. Priority only affects sort order in lists.
›Can I mute reminders for a specific task without completing it?
Yes. Use !task mute <id> or toggle it in the dashboard. Use !task unmute <id> to re-enable reminders.
›What happens when I delete a task?
Deleted tasks are moved to trash and can be restored within 30 days. After 30 days, they are permanently deleted. You can also permanently delete tasks from trash at any time.
›What's the difference between task title and description?
The title is a short summary shown in lists. The description contains full details from your original message (URLs, requirements, etc.). Use !task list <id> to see the full description.
›What do time estimates do?
Time estimates power suggestions. Ask "what can I do in 30 minutes?" and the app recommends tasks that fit. It doesn't track actual time spent.
›Can I use subcategories?
Yes. Use a "Parent > Child" syntax (e.g., "Work > Urgent") to create hierarchical categories.
›What happens when I delete a category that has tasks?
You'll be asked whether to reassign tasks to a different category or delete them along with the category.
